Pola, festival of the bulls

Farmers adorned their bulls with embroidered blankets, bells, & shiny colored paper. Drumming and hoarse voices passionately yelling and singing filled the air.

Ropes were dyed, houses and horns re-painted. This little boy decided he wanted his hands to match the color of his shirt.

Motiram’s family’s bells.

All that is left to do is glue shiny paper to the horns and drape the blanket over his back. What a fancy stud of a beast.

  1. This is really an exquisite find…I had previously only heard of ‘POLA’ festivals but never had the privilege to see …Great work..
